WORK

Put your hands to work.

Grace is the area of the Bible that has been grossly misunderstood both by those who know it and those who do not alike. According to the Zondervan Encyclopedia of Bible words, "Grace is a dynamic force that does more than affecting our standing with God by crediting us with righteousness."

From this definition, two things come to light. Firstly, it is through God's grace that we obtain righteousness and not by our good works. Secondly, grace has the power to affect our experiences in life. Grace has the power to help us overcome our weaknesses because grace is God's ability overcoming our inability.

"But whatever I am now it is all because God poured out such kindness and grace upon me—and not without results: for I have worked harder than all the other apostles, yet actually I wasn't doing it, but God working in me, to bless me." 1 Corinthians 15:10

It means therefore that where you used to be the worst before, grace can turn you into the best when you receive it by faith. Where you used to fail, grace can turn you into a complete success. Grace can totally change your experience because Grace is simply God working for you, through you and in you. Grace helps you achieve what you never could in your power.

A word of caution at this point, Grace is not an excuse for idleness, indolence or irresponsibility. The Grace of God does not empower you to be lazy considering God Himself works. John 5:17. If you because you are under grace, God is working for you and you don't put your hands to work, there is no way poverty, lack and want will not be your companions.

Action Plan:- Receive the grace of God on the work of your hands.

Prayer:- Lord I receive your grace afresh.
